Board of directors
Mr. Rabindra Lal Shrestha
Chairman
Mr. Shrestha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and has over 35 years of professional experience in the banking and financial sector.
He has extensive expertise in project financing, consortium financing, credit management, loan recovery, debt restructuring, and priority-sector lending. He previously served as a Board Member of Rastriya Banijya Bank, a Bank and Financial Expert at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), and Deputy General Manager of Social Development Bank.
Since 2075 B.S., he has been associated with hydropower projects, bringing valuable experience in banking, financial management, and project development to the Board.
Ms. Sophia L. Pandè
Director
Ms. Pandé brings extensive expertise in strategic planning, institutional development, resource mobilization, communications, and sustainable development.
Her professional experience includes senior leadership roles at the Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust and the Himalayan Infrastructure Fund, as well as consultancy assignments with UNESCO and the IFC–World Bank Group.
She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and English Literature from Mount Holyoke College.
Mr. Li Huifeng
Director
Mr. Li holds a Master’s degree in Finance and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Labor and Social Security and Finance from Shandong University of Finance and Economics, China.
He has extensive professional experience in financial management, treasury operations, international project financing, budgeting, taxation, auditing, and corporate administration. He has previously held key financial management positions at China Shandong International Economic & Technical Cooperation Group Ltd. and Shuifa Group Co., Ltd.
Since January 2026, he has been serving as Chairman of Sichuan Hechuan Investment Co., Ltd., bringing valuable expertise in finance, investment, and hydropower-related business operations.
Mr. Gai Ke
Director
Mr. Gai is currently the Head of the Operations & Maintenance Management Department at Shuifa Hydropower Co., Ltd. He has extensive professional experience across hydropower operations, investment, administration, culture and education management, and banking.
Since joining Shuifa Group in October 2020, he has held several managerial and leadership positions. Previously, he worked in the banking sector from 2013 to 2020 and in the China Railway system from 2007 to 2013.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wuhan University of Science and Technology and possesses professional qualifications in economics and banking.
Mr. Barun Shrestha
Public Director
Mr. Shrestha brings over three decades of experience in commercial banking, financial management, and corporate affairs.
He has held senior management positions at Nepal Indosuez Bank Ltd. and Nepal Investment Bank Ltd., including leadership roles in finance, branch operations, regional management, and provincial management. He is currently associated with Himalayan Infrastructure Group, with investments in hydropower and tourism.
He holds an Executive MBA from ACE Institute of Management, Pokhara University.
